#Blogmas: Day 3

Today is our Day 3 of 25 days of Blogmas. Picking up from yesterday talking about traditions, me and my family began a new one this year. We will make a list of 25 Christmas movies, put them in a cup and choose one every night until Christmas day. Below is my list of 5 MUST WATCH Christmas movies. At the end of this blog, I attached a picture of the list that we made for this year.

5. The Home Alone series

All 90s baby should have at least one of the Home Alone movies in their top 10 movie lists of all time. The Home Alone series is a classic and because I had multiple siblings growing up, I felt the struggle.

4. The Best Man Holiday

How can I make a top movie list and not include The Best Man Holiday. When my wife first asked me to watch this movie I was skeptical. After learning the characters and their likes and dislikes, I find myself enjoy my holiday with them. By the time I got to the end of the movie I was a fan of the entire series and added it to my yearly watch list. If you haven’t checked it out, you should try it this year. Plus the soundtrack could stand on its own without the movie.

3. Polar Express

The Polar Express is the movie I watch to allow my imagination to roam like when I was a child. The story is solid but felt random the first few times I watched it. Now that I’m an adult it still comes across as random but seems to serve a greater purpose in the end. Witnessing the journey from home to the North Pole, puts me back in my bed as that 13 year old kid waiting for Christmas morning again.

2. Elf

Will Ferrell! What else needs to be said? Seeing a movie with a 6′ 3 elf makes me laugh every time I watch it.

Drum Roll…

1. How The Grinch Stole Christmas

My number one pick just had to be How The Grinch Stole Christmas, right? My favorite is the one when Jim Carrey plays as the Grinch. I actually watched this movie last night with my wife and it still gets me in my feels. When I was younger I watched it for the plot, but last night I found myself watching it more for his performance. If you haven’t watched this movie yet, what are you waiting for?

As promised, here is our 25 Christmas movies list for this year.

I want to hear from you. Do you watch any of the movies from our list? Comment below with your MUST WATCH Christmas movies.
