#Blogmas: Day 9

Hello again. Today’s blog post will be of a poem I wrote today for Christmas. Hope you enjoy it.

Christmas Poem

Christmas experiences,
yeah I have plenty.
But for you to get it,
I must start at the beginning.
A snowy day,
one when the snow stuck.
The first time I grabbed it,
balling it up.
We had a snowball fight that day,
with so much laughter.
Completely forgot,
about the gifts we opened after.
Does it matter
how my day ended?
Gifts were exchanged,
love never pretended.
Not the hottest bike,
nor the latest game.
But what kept us hype,
love was felt the same.
Christmas is a holiday,
spend this time with others.
Not what all you have left,
just to please another.
All I’m saying is to slow down –
shift pace.
Never judge the giver,
for what’s in the case.
Know you were appreciated,
crossing their mind.
Say Merry Christmas
with love, every time.

Thank you for reading. If you aren’t already, follow this blog and join me on our journey to 25 days of Blogmas.
