#Blogmas: Day 21

Good day to everyone!! Over the past 20 days I have been blogging about the lead up to Christmas but today will be slightly different. The after effects of December 25th.

Christmas is a great time of year, one of the only days of the year that as soon as it is over, everyone is looking forward to the next one. The other day that comes to mind is a birthday, but after 21 that slowly begins to fade.

What Happens After Christmas?

The excitement that Christmas brings feels great the morning of, but me being a parent, I think more about what comes after. I always rush to Christmas day and it leaves faster than it comes each year. The cleaning process and putting away the Christmas tree isn’t horrible but those lights…. Putting away Christmas lights tells me that the holiday is over and we are moving on to the next. This year we decorated our bedroom with lights to give it a more festive look. I love the vibe it brings and will miss them when we take them down.

This year has been the slowest time leading up to Christmas and I am grateful for it. I love seeing the lights in people’s yards, and people speaking when I walk pass. I just love the overall feeling that people give when the holidays are here. I hope that there isn’t a drastic change once January 1st comes.
