Object Writing Page 7 – Hanger

Many people today have so much to worry about, that they tend to overlook all the tiny things in life. From the 5 minutes of silence they get when they leave work, to the reliable technology holding their clothes up in the closet. The clinking of iron leaves my ears ringing after placing my clothes on the racking. Maybe the sounds are playing to give me hope after I look to see a huge pile of jackets and button up shirts waiting to be hung. “Only 20 more to go”, I tell myself grabbing a soft silky jacket I wear only on nights the wind takes no prisoners. Playing back memory after memory from the different textures of clothes caused me to lose track of time. “The last one for to…”, I freeze. This jacket… this is the jacket from my first day away from my family…
